Almond Butter Smoothie

If you know me, you know that I love my smoothies!

They’re are an easy and delicious way to get ton of vegetables and fruits into your diet.

I started drinking them about 3 years ago, and I have one on most days.

Eat? Yes eat. You must chew your smoothies in order to get the digestive juices flowing (with the help of your saliva) which will in turn improve your digestion and absorption of nutrients.1

This is by far my most favorite smoothie. It’s so creamy and delicious that it tastes like dessert! I can’t believe that it’s actually good for me.

While I had trouble pinpointing what it tasted like, one day my husband accidentally drank mine. He couldn’t believe how good it was. He said, “Hey, this tastes just like a milkshake!” And he’s right!

I eat this specific smoothie a couple of days a week, but I’d eat them everyday if I could! (I suppose I could, but I like to change it up.)

They’re perfect for breakfast or lunch.

I always like to add greens to my smoothies for the added nutrition, and I also throw blueberries into this one for the antioxidants. You can’t even taste either of them! If you don’t have either of them on hand, you can omit them. The base ingredients are what make the smoothie yummy. I also add a tbsp of psyllium husks for extra fiber.

Use organic ingredients when possible. 🙂
